Localities respond to Action Month for Children 2015

(Baonghean.vn) -On May 27, localities organized many activities to celebrate the Month of Action for Children.

* On the morning of May 28, 2015, at the People's Committee of Quan Bau Ward, Vinh City People's Committee held a launching ceremony for the 2015 Action Month for Children with the theme "Listening to children speak".

This year's Action Month for Children takes place from June 1 to June 30. Through the launching ceremony, Vinh City People's Committee has focused on a number of contents such as: joining hands and contributing to fully implementing children's rights to create opportunities for children to access information, creating conditions for all children, especially poor children and children in special circumstances to have a safe and healthy summer vacation. Minimizing the situation of children having accidents, falling into social evils, violating the law, and being exploited for labor. Organizing forums for children to express their feelings and thoughts, reflecting messages, wishes, and aspirations about children's rights and duties.

At the launching ceremony, Vinh City People's Committee, Nghe An University of Economics, Nghe An Lottery Company presented 55 gifts to children in especially difficult circumstances who strive to study well, each gift worth 650 thousand VND.

At the ceremony, representatives of relevant departments and 25 wards and communes signed a commitment to implement the contents of the month of action for children.

* On the morning of May 28, Quynh Luu district organized a delegation to visit and give gifts to children who have overcome difficulties to study well and children with disabilities in the district.

Responding to the 2015 Action Month for Children, Quynh Luu district organized many meaningful and practical activities to call on all people and philanthropists to join hands to help and share difficulties with children and disabled children.

Quynh Luu district visited and gave gifts to a pair of disabled triplets in hamlet 1, Tan Son commune.

On this occasion, Quynh Luu district has allocated the children's support fund to present 15 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to 15 children from families with difficult circumstances but have made efforts to excel in their studies and children with severe disabilities in 3 mountainous communes of Quynh Hoa, Quynh Chau, Tan Son. Among them, many children have very difficult circumstances such as the 3 triplets (Dinh Thi Thanh Huyen, Dinh Thi Thuong Huyen and Dinh Thi Minh Huyen) in Hamlet 1, Tan Son commune. Among the 3 sisters, 1 is blind, 1 has congenital heart disease, or the orphaned situation of the 3 brothers Nhu Sy Hai in Hamlet 12, Quynh Hoa commune, who are in great need of attention and help so that they can be treated and study.
