Two extremely dangerous wanted fugitives arrested in Laos.

(Baonghean.vn) - Thanks to concentrated efforts in gathering intelligence and implementing comprehensive operational measures, the Criminal Fugitive Apprehension Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police has successfully apprehended two extremely dangerous wanted fugitives in Vientiane, the capital of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

After traveling nearly 800 km, on the morning of June 4th, the task force of the Criminal Fugitive Apprehension Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police brought two extremely dangerous wanted fugitives, who had been arrested in Laos, back to Vinh City, Nghe An.

The two suspects, Luong Van Phenh and Kha Thi May Ma, at the police station.

Upon receiving the news, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Hai – Deputy Director of the Provincial Police – was present to welcome and present flowers to congratulate and commend the outstanding achievement of the task force.

Previously, in Vientiane (Laos), the Fugitive Apprehension Unit of the Nghe An Provincial Police, in coordination with the Lao police and representatives of the Vietnamese police in Laos, successfully apprehended two individuals: Luong Van Phenh, born in 1958, residing in Son Thanh village, Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district; and Kha Thi May Ma, born in 1974, residing in Huu Lap commune, Ky Son district. Both were wanted for particularly dangerous crimes related to illegal drug trafficking and had fled to Laos, changing their names and employing various methods to conceal their identities and criminal activities. The arrests were carried out in two locations nearly 100km apart, ensuring speed and safety.

The Criminal Fugitive Apprehension Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police is currently finalizing the dossiers to transfer the suspects to the relevant authorities for legal processing.
