On April 30, information from the Vietnam Red Cross Society said that in response to the call of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society decided to provide initial emergency support of 30,000 USD to help the people of Nepal overcome the consequences of the earthquake.
The money will be quickly transferred to the victims of the earthquake in Nepal through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
Along with material support, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society plans to issue an appeal to mobilize people nationwide to donate to support and share the difficulties of the Nepalese people.
Previously, the Vietnam Red Cross Society also sent a letter to the Nepal Red Cross Society to visit, encourage and share the difficulties with the victims of the recent serious earthquake; at the same time, it coordinated with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to make a list of experts and experienced staff, ready to go to Nepal to support and carry out humanitarian activities when requested.
In response to the humanitarian needs following the earthquake in Nepal, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has launched an emergency appeal to raise 33.4 million Swiss francs to provide essential services such as food, shelter, clean water and sanitation to 75,000 vulnerable people.
The appeal comes shortly after the Association allocated 500,000 Swiss francs from its Emergency Disaster Relief Fund to support the Nepal Red Cross Society in implementing relief activities on clean water, sanitation and temporary housing to help 12,000 people directly affected. /.
