Thien Temple was established by the people of Dien Ngoc fishing village in 1871 to worship the village's guardian spirit (Nhui), the mighty spirit Minh Vuong (Ly Nhat Quang) and the Four Vois (the four mothers and children of Mrs. Nguyet Qua). At first, it was just a small but very sacred temple, and now it has been properly built by the people of the coastal area. On holidays, the people of the area come to burn incense and pray for a peaceful and prosperous life.
