Xã Đại Thành (Yên Thành) đón nhận danh hiệu Anh hùng lực lượng vũ trang nhân dân

(Baonghean.vn) - Sáng 24-4, xã Đại Thành huyện Yên Thành long trọng tổ chức lễ đón nhận danh hiệu Anh hùng lực lượng vũ trang nhân nhân (LLVTND) thời kỳ kháng chiến chống Pháp.

Tại buổi lễ, các đại biểu đã ôn lại truyền thống cách mạng vẻ vang của Đảng bộ, nhân dân và lực lượng vũ trang xã Đại Thành. Trong dịp Tổng động viên “Tất cả cho Điện Biên Phủ”, Đại Thành có 37 bộ đội tham gia chiến dịch, 35 người tham gia phục vụ chiến trường, 24 người phục vụ chiến dịch Hạ Lào, 27 người phục vụ chiến dịch Tây – Bắc, 32 người phục vụ chiến dịch Thượng Lào.Trong kháng chiến chống Mỹ cứu nước, Đại thành đã hoàn thành xuất sắc nhiệm vụ chi viện sức người, sức của cho tiền tuyến lớn miền Nam. Thành lập trung đội dân quân cơ động với 40 người, trung đội phòng không 12 ly bảy (phối hợp bắn rơi 3 máy bay và bắt sống 1 giặc lái); Đại Thành là địa bàn đóng, trú quân huấn luyện và cất dấu vũ khí chuẩn bị cho các chiến trường của bộ đội chủ lực; là nơi đặt sở chỉ huy và cơ quan của Bộ chỉ huy Quân sự tỉnh Nghệ An; là nơi triển khai trận địa tên lửa bắn máy bay địch của Trung đoàn 238.

The whole commune has 60 cadres who were active before the August Revolution in 1945, 03 veteran revolutionary cadres, 13 pre-uprising cadres, 57 martyrs, 119 wounded, sick soldiers and those infected with toxic chemicals, 05 people awarded the Independence Medal, 55 people awarded the anti-French medal, 315 people awarded the anti-American medal, 341 families with meritorious services to the country, 04 clans with meritorious services to the Fatherland and 01 Vietnamese Heroic Mother.

During the renovation period, under the leadership of the Party Committee, the Government and the people of Dai Thanh commune have been quick in shifting the economic structure, applying scientific and technological advances, so people's lives have been stable and developed, the intellectual level has been increasingly improved, infrastructure has been fully invested, national defense and security have been maintained, and the political system has always been clean and strong.

With the above outstanding achievements, on December 16, 2014, Dai Thanh cadres and people were honored to receive the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, signed Decision No. 3329/QD-CTN./.
