Exciting Central Ethnic Culture Festival 2015

(Baonghean.vn) - Many cultural and sports activities of the 2015 Central Ethnic Culture Festival were held on the morning of May 17 at the Nghe An Province Cultural Information Center.

Attending the opening ceremony, on the Central side were Mr. Hoang Duc Hau - Head of the Department of Ethnic Culture, Mr. Pham Dong Anh - Deputy Head of the Department of Mass Sports. Also attending were representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and heads of mass art troupes from neighboring provinces. On the Nghe An side, there were Mr. Ho Mau Thanh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism along with the athletes' delegations and people of the province.

The festival opened with sports activities, with the presence of 6 delegations with more than 50 athletes from 8 provinces in the Central region. In recent times, with the attention of local Party committees and authorities, the sports movement, especially sports among ethnic minorities, has developed quite rapidly and steadily. Ethnic sports and folk games have been restored and developed, cultural and sports festivals have been organized more and more and are rich in expression.

The activities during the festival are also an opportunity for all levels, sectors and ethnic groups in the region to raise their sense of responsibility in building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.
