Malaysian helicopter catches fire, female pilot injured
Malaysian media reported on May 28 that the engine of a helicopter caught fire after making an emergency landing at Kota Kinabalu International Airport, injuring a female trainee pilot.

A spokesman for the Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue Department in Sabah state said the incident occurred around noon on May 28 and the 21-year-old female pilot was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
The fire was extinguished by the airport's fire and rescue unit.
Kota Kinabalu Police Chief M. Chandra confirmed the crash of the Bell Ranger 206 helicopter and said the incident is under investigation.
