December 11, 2014 17:13

(Baonghean) - From the end of November to the end of December each year is the time when people in Van Mon village (Nga My - Tuong Duong) harvest cassava. On the fields, people line up to carry cassava to the purchasing points. In recent years, cassava has been considered one of the "key" crops in poverty reduction for the O Du people. This year, thanks to favorable weather, the cassava plants in Van Mon village have developed well and yielded high productivity; however, the price of cassava has decreased. In previous years, the purchase price of cassava in the village was 1200 VND/kg, but now it is only 1000 VND/kg.

The income from cassava helps the villagers cover their expenses for the upcoming Tet holiday, so everyone is happy...
