Common sense

(Baonghean) - Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have increased by 4,800 VND per liter. Except for the petroleum industry, no one else is happy with this chorus of increase... increase... increase!

Don't like it! But have to accept it. And accept it with resentment. Because, every time the price of gasoline and electricity increases, the governing body or those in charge both explain it in the style of "price increase is unavoidable", and at the same time "give grace" as if it should have increased a long time ago, but then tried to hold back to "contribute to ensuring social security". Or if calculated correctly, calculated sufficiently (but what is correct, sufficient is not clearly announced to the public, that's strange!), it should have increased, increased by this much, this much... but because it is to "share the difficulties" with the people, it has only increased by this much (!)...

Remember, the last time the electricity price increased, the leaders of the Electricity industry said that they would offer 3 levels of 7.5%, 9% and 12% but then chose the lowest level to reduce losses, and to make a profit, it had to be over 10%. However, because they were worried that the increase would be too high and people would suffer, they only chose the lowest level. Then in the two recent gasoline price increases, people also said that it should have increased to more than 3,300 VND because the world price increased too high. But because they thought about people's wallets, they had to "bite the bullet" and accept the increase at that level. If that is true, then every time the electricity and gasoline prices increase, consumers should not be sad or raise their voices in protest, but should happily express their gratitude for not increasing the price any higher. And every time the price increases, people often compare with the surrounding area and then come to the conclusion that our price is still lower than the price of other countries in the region. So the price increase is to bring it to parity, contributing to... reducing smuggling...

Let's assume that's true. The price increase is due to the increase in the world price, so the ministries and branches in charge of this field are also forced to increase it accordingly. But the price of rice, watermelon, purple onion... of our farmers is very low compared to the world price, so why don't the ministries and branches in charge of this find a way to increase the price? So that the price of our agricultural products can be raised to "be on par with the world powers"? That's the common people's reasoning. Is there anyone who listens, understands, sympathizes and does as such to benefit the people?
