Previously, on January 8, 2015, Ho intended to go to Laos to trade wood, but failed. Then, Ho contacted a man named Bac (address unknown) and discussed buying and selling drugs. Bac agreed to sell Ho 1,500 pink pills for 60 million VND and arranged a delivery location at Khe Nuoc Nong bridge in Son Kim commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province. On January 13, Ho went to the above location to get the goods and then brought the drugs home to hide. 10 days later, Ho invited Tran Van Dat to bring the drugs to Vinh city to sell to others for profit. When both of them went to Nguyen Van Troi street, Vinh city, they were discovered and arrested by the Vinh city police investigation agency. The seized evidence was 142.97 grams of Methamphetamine (pink pills).
At court, the two defendants admitted all their actions. The panel sentenced Luu Van Ho to 6 years in prison and Tran Van Dat to 5 years in prison for illegal drug trafficking.
