“There were 26 flowers on the roots of that banyan tree. We don’t know if these are Udumbara flowers, but visually, they have many similarities to this rare flower that we have only heard about before,” said Mr. Dung. Currently, the 26 flowers are still intact on the roots of the banyan tree and are carefully kept by Mr. Dung’s family.

After news of the strange plant spread, many local people, especially Buddhists, came to see this mysterious flower with their own eyes, although some did not know what kind of flower it was.

Currently, Udumbara flowers have been discovered in some localities in Vietnam, but there has been no scientific research to verify whether this flower is really an Udumbara flower or just has a similar shape to this flower in Buddhist scriptures.

According to Buddhist scriptures, this flower symbolizes unusual rarity. It only appears when Buddha or the Golden Wheel King or Holy Wheel-Turning King appears. It is a rare auspicious sign in the human world.
