Train hits car, two people in critical condition

(Baonghean.vn) - At around 9:00 p.m. tonight, December 26, on the North-South railway (section through hamlet 18B, Nghi Lien commune, Vinh city, Nghe An), a railway accident occurred.

According to initial information, at the above time, the freight train numbered H2 departed from Vinh station to Hanoi, when arriving at the above location, it collided with a car with license plate number 51C-448.60 (driver unknown) running from Trung Lai gas lighter company crossing from the civilian railway to National Highway 1A.

The car was hit by a freight train and flew 9 meters off the track. The rear of the car hit the yard of a nearby resident, breaking several flower pots.

The accident left two people in the car (1 male, 1 female) seriously injured and were taken to the emergency room immediately. The front of the car was severely damaged, the rear trunk lid was thrown off the car.

Mr. Do Van Sinh (52 years old), a resident living nearby, said: “At around 9 pm, while I was sleeping, I suddenly heard a loud noise. When I ran out, I saw many people trying to get the two victims out. The back of the truck was hit by the train and flew into my yard, breaking two flower pots.”

It is worth mentioning that this area has no fence, some residents said that this area often has many tragic accidents.
