(Baonghean.vn) - After nearly half a decade with Song Lam Nghe An Club, the renowned veteran Ha Thin has officially retired from SLNA.

On the afternoon of July 10th, veteran player Ha Thin informed a reporter from Nghe An Newspaper that his resignation had been approved by the leadership of Song Lam Nghe An Football Club. After 47 years of dedication, he will officially part ways with Song Lam Nghe An.

Regarding the reason for his resignation, veteran coach Ha Thin stated that due to his advanced age and declining health, he submitted his resignation half a month ago, but only recently did Song Lam Nghe An Club agree to his request. Ha Thin is currently the coach of the U13 Song Lam Nghe An team. After his resignation, the coaching duties for the U13 team will be handed over to coach Nguyen Van Thinh. Previously, Ha Thin was chosen to replace coach Ngo Quang Truong in assisting the team in Xieng Khouang province, Laos.

In the late 1970s, mentioning Ha Thin commanded admiration from football fans nationwide for his exceptional talents, a trait not found in every striker. Originally a young player from the early generations of Nghe An football, Ha Thin was recruited into the Nghe Tinh youth team in 1968. After a period of ups and downs with the sport, working as a factory worker while also playing football, Ha Thin became an indispensable center forward for the Song Lam Nghe Tinh club.Participating in the national B-league with the goal of being promoted to A2.

In 1988, after leaving SLNA, Ha Thin went to Germany to study football. Four years later, he returned to coach the youth teams of SLNA. At this time, Song Lam Nghe An was famous for its aggressive, physical style of play, and it was Ha Thin who "breathed new life" into it with a technical style, softening the tough legs of the Nghe An players. He pursued this philosophy, and many people called him "the technical expert of Vietnamese football." Ha Thin's technical philosophy contributed to his new achievements in youth coaching.

Veteran player Ha Thin shared that after 47 years of dedication to SLNA football, he will spend more time with his family and loved ones after retiring.

The news of veteran player Ha Thin's departure from SLNA has left many feeling regretful. Former football legend Quoc Vuong shared his thoughts with Ha Thin and expressed his wish for him to continue playing because..."I'm sharing my experience with the younger generation because my experience is something that can't be bought." Meanwhile, Ha Thin shared that even though he's leaving SLNA, his heart, feelings, passion, and dedication remain entirely devoted to his hometown team. He only hopes that the younger players and coaches will continue the traditions of their predecessors and the club to lead SLNA to even greater heights.
