Contact and receive voters' opinions to improve leadership capacity

(Baonghean.vn) - On November 16, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee had a meeting with voters of Hung Loc commune, Vinh city before the 13th session of the Provincial People's Council and the 9th session of the City People's Council. Also attending were delegates of People's Councils at all levels; representatives of departments, branches, and sectors; officials and voters of Hung Loc commune.

Synthesizing the opinions of voters and people of Hung Loc commune, there are issues recommended for the province and city to resolve as follows:

For the province, it is recommended to resolve questions and problems in the fields of land and urban management; environmental sanitation; and policies. Notably, there is the problem of environmental pollution from Hung Loc industrial park, the city cemetery and a number of other agencies and units in the area. The main reason is that the drainage and wastewater treatment infrastructure of the units and communes is not yet synchronized. In addition, the issue of land recovery for projects that have been planned but not yet implemented or have changed the purpose of use has also been reflected, questioned and requested to be clarified by the people.

Voters make recommendations

For the city, it is especially requested to pay attention to resolving the situation of no grid electricity, damaged drainage ditch 407 causing flooding for many years in some hamlets of Hung Loc commune. Voters also reflected on the risk of pollution from the crematorium of the old Provincial General Hospital, requesting the city to direct a reasonable construction plan to avoid affecting people's lives. The Commune Fatherland Front Committee also requested the City to continue to pay attention and increase support for the commune in resolving petitions and complaints from the people, especially complicated issues.

Speaking at the meeting, voters of My Trung, My Thuong, Tan Hung, Hamlet 13, Ngu Phuc... welcomed the attention and listening to the people's reflections and aspirations of the Party Committees and authorities. Through the voters' opinions, it can be seen that land management and environmental sanitation are the top concerns of the people of Hung Loc commune. This is consistent with the development trend towards modernization and new rural construction in the city's suburbs.

After listening to the report of the Commune Fatherland Front and voters' opinions, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee welcomed the constructive spirit and accepted the opinions of the cadres and people of Hung Loc commune. Thereby, directing the relevant departments, agencies and branches to promptly handle the situation to improve the economic, social and environmental life of Hung Loc commune in particular and to complete the planning picture of the city and the province in general. He also emphasized the importance of contacting, exchanging and accepting feedback from the people and voters in improving the effectiveness of implementing policies, guidelines and leadership capacity of leaders at all levels.
