*XDien Phu (Dien Chau):On the morning of May 31, the Dien Phu Commune Party Committee held the 20th Congress of Delegates for the 2015-2020 term.

Overview of the Congress

As a commune with over 90% of the population living on agriculture, Dien Phu Party Committee focuses on expanding high-revenue fields specializing in growing rice seeds, squash, and red-fleshed dragon fruit. At the same time, it has built a model of livestock and poultry farms combined with implementing effective afforestation projects. Thanks to that, the total production value of the commune has nearly doubled compared to the beginning of the term with 177 billion VND, the average income per capita is over 20 million VND/person/year, reducing the poverty rate from 38% to 6.64%. The commune has attracted nearly 40 billion VND in construction investment, building 8 key projects. The whole commune has 12 hamlets achieving the title of culture, the rate of cultured families is 82%. The Party Committee has admitted 38 new party members.

In the new term, the Congress has set 19 targets, focusing on developing the economy in the direction of goods, building cultural life in residential areas. The economic growth rate reaches 12.5%, the average income per capita is from 35-40 million VND/person/year, reducing the poverty rate to less than 5%. *Dien Dong Commune (Dien Chau):On the morning of May 31, the Dien Dong Commune Party Committee held the Congress of Delegates for the 2015-2020 term.

Overview of the Congress

The most significant breakthrough of the Party Committee and people of Dien Dong commune in the past term is that the socio-economic development is relatively even, shifting in the right direction. The annual economic growth rate reached 11.5%, the total production value doubled compared to the beginning of the term, the average income per capita has now reached nearly 27 million VND/person/year. The poverty rate is only over 4%. The commune completed the land consolidation and plot exchange at the end of 2013, and the new rural construction has so far achieved 14/19 criteria. Regarding the Party building work, this is the term in which the Party Committee has determined to focus on doing a good job in organizing cadres and party members, taking care of building the government and mass organizations. During the term, 11 new cadres were trained, fostered, and appointed, and 22 party members were admitted. The Party Committees all achieved the level of completing their tasks well or better.

Overview of the Congress

During the past term, the Party Committee of the district government has done a good job in advising the district Party Committee and the district People's Committee in the fields of socio-economic development, national defense and security.
