7 things students need to know after finishing the high school graduation exam.

After the exams, candidates have more than two weeks to rest before receiving their national high school exam results and submitting applications for university and college admissions.

1. Before July 20th, all examination clusters must complete the grading process and report preliminary results to the Ministry of Education and Training.

2. Before July 25th, the Departments of Education and Training must complete the review and approval of high school graduation.

3. Departments of Education and Training will receive appeals within 10 days.

All candidates have the right to request a review of their exam results and must pay the review fee as prescribed. The Department of Education and Training receives review requests from candidates within 10 days of the exam results announcement and forwards the data of candidates requesting a review to the Examination Board. Within 15 days of the deadline for receiving review requests, the Examination Board must announce the review results.

4. Before July 27th, the principal of the high school will issue a temporary graduation certificate, return the academic transcript and other certificates (original copies) to the candidates.

5. Before July 30th, the examination boards chaired by universities will print and send the Certificates of Examination Results to candidates who registered to take the university and college entrance exams.

6. First-choice applications will be considered from August 1st to August 20th. Universities and colleges will announce the admission scores for first-choice applications before August 25th.

- Candidates are only allowed to use their exam results certificate for the first-choice application to register for one university or college. For each institution, candidates can register for a maximum of four majors, ranked in order of priority from 1 to 4.

- During the 20-day period for the first round of admissions, if necessary, candidates can adjust their registered preferences at that school or withdraw their application to register at another school;

- The candidate's preferences (from 1 to 4 within a school) have equal value in the admission process. If a candidate is admitted to an earlier preference, they will not be considered for subsequent preferences;

- Candidates who have been accepted into their first-choice program are not allowed to register in subsequent supplementary application rounds.

7. Supplementary application review: There are 4 rounds, from September 25th to November 15th.

- Candidates can use up to three exam result certificates simultaneously for supplementary admission applications to register for a maximum of three universities, and within each university, they can register for a maximum of four preferences, ranked in order of priority from 1 to 4;

- The candidate's preferences (from 1 to 4 within a school) have equal value in the admission process. If a candidate is admitted to an earlier preference, they will not be considered for subsequent preferences;

- During each round of supplementary admissions, candidates are not allowed to withdraw their applications. After each round, if a candidate is not admitted, they may withdraw their application to register for the next supplementary admissions round.

- Candidates who have already been admitted to the school are not allowed to participate in the subsequent supplementary admission round.
