Yen Thanh: Inauguration and opening ceremony of bridge 205

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 21, Yen Thanh district coordinated with the People's Committee of Do Thanh commune to hold the inauguration ceremony and open to traffic the investment project to build bridge 205, across Vech Bac river on road 205 through Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.

Bridge 205 was started in late December 2014, dedicated to rural traffic, part of the New Rural Construction project invested by Yen Thanh District People's Committee and Tan Nam Construction Joint Stock Company is the contractor.

The bridge has a total investment of over 100 billion VND, is a permanent bridge with high strength prestressed reinforced concrete structure. The bridge length is 108m, the bridge deck width is 8m, including 4 spans.

During the construction of Bridge 205, many difficulties were encountered due to the construction mainly on weak ground, site clearance under the riverbed, the most concentrated and urgent construction phase, the price of raw materials and construction materials increased dramatically, affecting the construction progress and total investment of the project. However, after 6 months of construction, the technical quality, aesthetics and progress were achieved.

Bridge 205 is one of the large, modern bridges crossing the Vech Bac River, on Highway 205, a vital route, connecting communes of Yen Thanh and Dien Chau districts, creating favorable traffic conditions for economic, cultural and social development, ensuring national security and defense./.
