Prosecution initiated against drug trafficker.

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 29, the Nghi Loc District Police initiated criminal proceedings and detained Dang Van Manh for the crime of trafficking narcotics.

The suspect is Dang Van Manh.

Earlier, on June 12th, a task force from the Nghi Loc District Police conducted a patrol in Nghi Lam commune and discovered two individuals using drugs. Upon questioning, the two suspects confessed that the drugs they were using were purchased from Dang Van Manh, born in 1985, residing in Hamlet 1, Nghi My commune (Nghi Loc district).

Following verification, on June 16th, the Criminal, Economic, and Drug Crime Investigation Team (Nghi Loc District Police) conducted an arrest and urgent search of Dang Van Manh's house, seizing a package of heroin weighing 0.05 grams. During questioning, Manh confessed that he had been addicted to drugs since 2005 and was currently HIV positive. Due to his addiction, he bought drugs to resell to other addicts in the area to fund his drug use.

After investigating and clarifying the drug trafficking activities of Dang Van Manh, the Nghi Loc District Police issued a decision to prosecute and detain him. Thus, in June 2015, the Nghi Loc District Police arrested 4 cases involving 4 individuals for drug trafficking.
