Bilateral patrol of the Vietnam - Laos border
(Baonghean.vn) - On June 24 and 25, the Nam Can International Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) and Border Guard Company 221 (Xieng Khouang Province Military Command - Laos) coordinated to organize bilateral patrols of the border between the two provinces sharing a border.
During this bilateral patrol, the Nam Can International Border Post and Border Guard Company 221 (Laos) jointly patrolled the border section under their management and inspected landmark 405 in the border gate area of both Vietnam and Laos. Both sides followed the correct protocol and procedures in border diplomacy activities.

This activity aims to promptly detect violations of border regulations and resolve incidents occurring along the border; at the same time, coordinate to protect the common border, maintain political security and social order and safety along the border.
At the end of the patrol, the two sides held a meeting to review experiences, sign a record of the results of border management and protection work in the past time, and at the same time propose policies, solutions and agree on the time and number of troops for the next bilateral patrol.
