The "Warm and Loving Family Meal" Contest

(Baonghean.vn) - In celebration of Vietnamese Family Day, on the afternoon of June 26th, Que Phong district organized a traditional cuisine competition with the theme "Family Meal - Warmth and Love"..

Ten teams from various communes and towns participated in the competition. Each team consisted of four family members. Within 70 minutes, they had to prepare a meal for six people, ensuring at least four dishes and adequate nutrition. The main cooks were the father and son, while the mother and daughter acted as assistants. The teams carefully selected their ingredients, ensuring food safety and hygiene.

Given its characteristics as a high-altitude mountainous district, the dishes presented by the teams were mainly typical dishes of the Thai ethnic group, such as black sticky rice, meatballs, phac chup (a type of noodle dish), grilled catfish, and ot soup.

The competition attracted widespread attention and viewership. Through the competition, the spirit of responsibility and unity among family members was highlighted. This contributed to building prosperous, equal, progressive, and happy families.
