International Olympiad in Informatics: Vietnam delegation ranked first in Southeast Asia
The Vietnamese delegation ranked 8th out of 84 delegations participating in the 2015 International Olympiad in Informatics and ranked first among Southeast Asian countries.
Information from the Department of Testing and Educational Quality Assessment (Ministry of Education and Training) said: The Department has received official information from Kazakhstan about the results of the 2015 International Olympiad in Informatics of the Vietnamese national team.

Accordingly, all 4/4 contestants won medals including: 1 Gold medal and 3 Silver medals. Specifically as follows:
Gold Medal: Pham Van Hanh, 12th grade student, High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Silver Medals: Phan Duc Nhat Minh, 11th grade student, High School for Gifted Students of Natural Sciences, Hanoi National University; Nguyen Viet Dung, 12th grade student, High School for Gifted Students of Natural Sciences, Hanoi National University; Nguyen Tien Trung Kien, 12th grade student, High School for Gifted Students of Natural Sciences, Hanoi National University.
With this achievement, the Vietnamese delegation ranked 8th out of 84 delegations participating in the 2015 International Olympiad in Informatics and ranked first among Southeast Asian countries. This is the highest result of the Vietnamese delegation participating in the International Olympiad in Informatics since 2000.
The Ministry of Education and Training will hold a ceremony to welcome the delegation to the 2015 International Olympiad in Informatics and present the Minister's Certificates of Merit to the winning contestants at Noi Bai International Airport at 1:45 p.m. on August 3.
