Ky Son: Building a strong and comprehensive foundation to protect border security.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 28, Ky Son district held a conference to summarize 25 years of building strong and comprehensive grassroots organizations and safe, self-reliant, and combat-ready clusters.

Attending the conference were Colonel Dinh Ngoc Van - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command, members of the district-level Steering Committee, and chairmen and vice-chairmen of communes and towns.

Over the past 25 years, despite numerous difficulties in infrastructure and human resources, under the leadership and guidance of the District Steering Committee for grassroots development and local Party committees and authorities, the implementation of tasks related to building grassroots security and defense clusters has achieved many important results. National defense and security have been maintained, unity within the Party and the great national unity have been strengthened, contributing to promoting economic and social development, improving people's lives, and enhancing national defense and security potential in the district's defense zone, especially in border communes.

In his remarks at the conference, Colonel Dinh Ngoc Van, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command, expressed strong agreement with the opinions expressed and requested that in the coming period, members of the Steering Committee and the communes and towns focus on strengthening and improving the quality of advice in handling issues at the grassroots level, focusing on leading and promoting the development of a commodity-based economy, increasing income, curbing and repelling social evils, especially illegal migration. He also emphasized building and consolidating a strong national defense and security, proactively responding to all situations, and strengthening and consolidating a comprehensive and robust political system.

The conference also commended and rewarded 13 collectives and 7 individuals who had achieved outstanding results in the 25 years of building strong and comprehensive commune and town-level bases, and safe and self-reliant combat-ready clusters during the period 1990 - 2015.
