* Provincial Military Command: Visiting and giving gifts to children with disabilities
On the occasion of International Children's Day on June 1st, a delegation from the Provincial Military Command, led by Colonel Tran Nguyen Duong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Military Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, visited and presented gifts to children affected by Agent Orange and disabled children of officers and staff in the provincial armed forces.

During their visit to encourage the families, the delegation presented 25 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) to children affected by Agent Orange and those with disabilities. At each family's home, on behalf of the delegation, Colonel Tran Nguyen Duong kindly inquired about their well-being, offered encouragement, and presented gifts to the children. He also encouraged the families to continue to love, care for, and support the children in their fight against illness and in striving for a better life.

* Thai Hoa Town:On the morning of June 1st, the People's Committee of Thai Hoa town organized a forum with the theme "Listening to children speak about the realization of children's rights" and launched the 2015 Month of Action for Children.

At the forum, the children were able to demonstrate their understanding, focusing on key issues related to life, school, and children's rights, such as playgrounds for children in the town during the summer... and participate in proposing their opinions, thoughts, and aspirations through direct dialogue with leaders at all levels.
At the ceremony, the People's Committee of Thai Hoa Town launched an appeal to all levels, sectors, socio-political organizations, and parents to fulfill their responsibilities and pay more attention to the education, protection, and care of children throughout the town, striving to eliminate child abuse and exploitation. Through this, they aim to cultivate and equip children with practical social skills, raise their awareness of their responsibilities to themselves, their families, schools, and society, thereby fostering self-improvement, training, and knowledge to strive to become future leaders of their homeland and country. The forum also provided an opportunity for the children to meet, interact, and strengthen solidarity.
On this occasion, the Nhat Nam Fund of Vinh City donated 2 million VND; 4 private enterprises in the town donated 10 million VND; and the People's Committee of Thai Hoa Town presented 45 gifts to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies.

* Tri Le Border Guard Station awarded prizes to two students who overcame difficulties and achieved excellent academic results.
On June 1st, the youth group of Tri Le Border Guard Station (Nghe An Provincial Border Guard) visited and encouraged two students, Vi Quoc Vuong, a student in class 6A5, and Luong Van Cuong, a student in class 6A7, of Tri Le Ethnic Boarding Secondary School in Que Phong District, who achieved good academic results in the 2014-2015 school year.

Implementing the "Helping Children Go to School" program, starting from the 2014-2015 school year, to help disadvantaged students focus on their studies, the Tri Le Border Guard Station conducted a survey and sponsored two underprivileged students in the area.
In this program, the unit's Youth Union branch has taken the lead in regularly caring for and assisting students in their studies and training. Over the past year, the Youth Union members have consistently shown concern and effectively implemented various forms of support, such as monthly material assistance (books, notebooks, school supplies, etc.) or cash worth approximately 500,000 VND per student; assigning members to directly assist students in their studies; regularly encouraging sponsored students in their studies and training; and providing rewards for high academic achievements. They have also assisted the students' families in developing their economy, cleaning up after them; and conducting medical examinations and providing medication to students at the combined Military-Civilian Medical Station.
Thanks to this, the students were encouraged to study with peace of mind, and their families were motivated to overcome all difficulties so that they could continue their education long-term, striving to become useful citizens for society in the future. At the end of the 2014-2015 school year, both sponsored students were awarded the title of outstanding student by the school.

On the morning of June 1st, the Administrative Management and Social Order Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police visited and presented gifts to the children at the SOS Children's Village in Vinh.

These are highly meaningful activities in response to the "Month of Action for Children 2015" by the officers and staff of the Administrative Police Department for Social Order. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to enhance the role, responsibility, and importance of protecting, caring for, and educating children among the officers and staff in the unit.

While children around the world are celebrating International Children's Day with their families and friends, these children are currently receiving treatment at Anh Son General Hospital amidst hot weather and illness.
On behalf of the district leadership, Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, inquired about the health and illnesses of the children; and encouraged the parents to do their best to care for them so that they would recover soon. He also requested the hospital leadership to always pay attention to and prioritize the care of the children and presented 90 gifts, each worth 150,000 VND, to the young patients.

* Quynh Long commune (Quynh Luu district) presents gifts to orphaned and disabled children.
On the morning of June 1st, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Quynh Long commune (Quynh Luu district) organized the awarding of 25 gifts for Children's Day to 25 orphaned and disabled children in the commune. Each gift was worth 200,000 VND, with the hope of encouraging and creating conditions for the children to develop their abilities and integrate into the community.
