According to the US leader, in the future, China will play an important role in the region, but the big question is how Beijing will play this role.

He stressed that the US welcomes China's "peaceful, stable and prosperous" rise, as well as its responsible role in global affairs.

About 1,500 guests, mostly university students, along with about 300 international reporters were present at the University of Queensland to follow President Obama's speech on the occasion of attending the G20 Summit in Brisbane./.
