This year, over 200,000 out of 78 million readers of the two popular automotive magazines "Bild am Sonntag" and "Auto Bild" voted for the 911 Targa. The car won the most prestigious award based on reader votes in a survey conducted in Germany and six other countries: France, Spain, Hungary, Austria, Belarus, and Switzerland. A jury of 53 experts from various fields, including trade journalists, race car drivers, celebrities, and other groups, voted the Cayman GTS as the best sports car and the Macan S Diesel as the top luxury SUV.

"For the first time in Porsche's history, three prestigious Golden Steering Wheels awards have been brought to Zuffenhausen. We are very surprised by the special recognition for all three models," said Mr. Müller at the awards ceremony. Mr. Hatz emphasized: "For Porsche, this is not just about the power of a pure engine in a car, but rather a complete whole of performance, efficiency and handling in representative sports cars like the Cayman GTS and the compact sports utility vehicle Macan." Finally, Mr. Mauer shared his thoughts on the reader's choice award for the 911 Targa: "This award is very special to us because it is a testament to the connection between the timeless design of the legendary Targa and the sportiness of the modern 911, as felt by so many fans across Europe."
