According to a spokesperson for the Slovak Ministry of Health, the four fatalities included a pilot, a doctor, and two rescue workers.
Local media reported that the plane's propeller became entangled in a power line and fell into the Hornad River, near the village of Hrabusice in eastern Slovakia.
The helicopter was reportedly on a rescue mission to save a 10-year-old German boy who had suffered head, leg, and abdominal injuries after slipping and falling into a ravine.
