Love and reason

(Baonghean) - The contract and benefits dispute between Buu Ngoc and Dong Thap Club began on October 30, 2014, after the home team failed to pay salary, bonuses and benefits.

1. V.League 2015 will kick off in less than a month, this is the period when clubs should only be concerned with training and competition to gradually perfect the main squad to participate in the tournament. However, some clubs are entangled in lawsuits. First is the case of Duong Thanh Hao (Vietnam U23 player) who, after a period of legal dispute with Dong Thap Club, agreed to pay 700 million VND in compensation to receive a contract termination certificate to join QNK Quang Nam.

On the contrary, Vietnam national team player Mac Hong Quan is in a dilemma when QNK Quang Nam Club offered 1.4 billion VND for the contract termination fee that Mac Hong Quan had just signed less than 2 months ago. Of course, Mac Hong Quan and his family did not agree, and submitted a petition to the VFF for mediation before going to court. However, the most sensational case is still the case of U23 Vietnam goalkeeper Buu Ngoc who submitted a petition to the Dong Thap provincial court to unilaterally terminate his contract with Dong Thap Club.

It is worth mentioning that the contract dispute - benefits between Buu Ngoc (and his representative, Duc Chanh Law Company Limited) and Dong Thap Club started to break out on October 30, 2014, after the home team did not pay salaries, bonuses and other benefits to Buu Ngoc and his teammates since July 2014. That is not to mention the bonus from the previous season, as the team's leaders promised..., a total of more than 300 million VND. There would be no controversy if Dong Thap Club had not fallen into financial exhaustion, having not had money to pay salaries to players and the entire staff for many months.

Therefore, Buu Ngoc did not agree with the compensation offered by the club on the grounds that it was too high, with a compensation of 1 billion VND for breaking a professional contract within 1 year and a memorandum of contribution to local football until the age of 28. The issue may be logical, right and wrong, but for a player who was trained from a young age to become famous, at least thinking about the love for the team that was once his home, Buu Ngoc and Thanh Hao behaved like strangers. Even Dong Thap club was not really fair in handling the matter. While quickly lowering the price and accepting to resolve the matter for Thanh Hao quickly (so that this player could complete the signing of a contract with QNK Quang Nam), they tried every way to "buy time" with Buu Ngoc to the point that VFF had to step in as "referee" to decide on the afternoon of December 19 (the penultimate day of the deadline for registering the list of players for the 2015 football season).

2. The story of the failure of the Vietnamese team at the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 also left a lesson on how to handle and handle situations. Immediately after the defeat of the Vietnamese team against Malaysia in the semi-finals of the AFF Cup 2014, the President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) declared that the team "had problems" and said that he would ask the police to intervene to clarify the matter. This statement by the President of the VFF received a lot of sympathy from fans. However, another group thought that Mr. Dung was too hasty. As for the players, of course, after all their efforts, some could not hide their anger.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, General Director of SLNA Football Joint Stock Company, said: “Fans may be suspicious, but the head of Vietnamese football is suspicious of match-fixing and inviting the police to investigate, which is extremely dangerous. Here, I put forward two hypotheses. One is that Mr. Dung has some evidence in hand and he assumes that the team is involved in match-fixing. This is understandable. If Mr. Dung does not have any evidence and makes such statements, it will greatly damage Vietnamese football.”

After recent behavior, some players have hinted at refusing to join the national team, while the VFF leadership has also begun to consider the option of "reforming" the national team, which will initially use the U19 Vietnam team's framework for the upcoming SEA Games gold medal campaign. It is not known whether the future of Vietnamese football will be successful or not with the current rejuvenation of the VFF leadership, but through the recent behavior and actions, the story of "understanding and understanding" is not an easy thing for Vietnamese football.
