Previously, at 4:40 p.m. on June 14, 2015, at the intersection of Nguyen Viet Xuan Street and Lam River Road, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Nghe An Province Police successfully broke up Project 369T, caught Hoang Nghia Thanh in the act of illegally buying and selling drugs, confiscated 1 kg of crystal meth, 1 motorbike and 2 mobile phones.
It is known that Thanh is a dangerous criminal with 2 previous convictions, including 1 for illegal drug trafficking (16 years in prison), 1 for theft (6 years in prison), and was just released from prison in 2011.
Urgently pursuing the hot trail, on the same day, the Task Force arrested two more subjects including Nguyen Phi Hai (born in 1974), residing in Residential Group 5, Thach Ha Town, Thach Ha District (Ha Tinh), who had a criminal record for illegal drug trafficking with a sentence of 16 years in prison, and Ha Thu Trang (born in 1983), residing in Block 5, Truong Thi Ward, Vinh City. Hai and Trang were both important links in the illegal drug trafficking ring (mainly methamphetamine) from Laos to Nghe An led by Hoang Nghia Thanh.
After receiving the goods, Thanh organized the distribution of the goods as an "agent" to subjects in Vinh City and neighboring districts, thereby forming a complex drug hotspot in Vinh City, causing outrage among the masses and local people.

Determining the dismantling of a drug trafficking ring and eliminating this complex drug den was very difficult because the subjects in the project all had criminal records and operated in a sophisticated and cunning manner, so the project team used many professional measures to fight.
During the arrest, Thanh resisted fiercely but the Task Force was able to control and arrest him. Currently, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police is continuing to expand the investigation./.
