A student who was herding buffalo drowned.

(Baonghean.vn)- On the afternoon of August 3, in village 1, Thanh Thuy commune (Thanh Chuong), a tragic drowning incident occurred. The victim was Nguyen Thi Trang (13 years old), a 7th grade student at Thanh Thuy Secondary School, the daughter of Mr. Nguyen Phuc Van and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tho (residing in village 1, Thanh Thuy commune).

According to the victim's family, at 2:00 p.m. on August 3, Trang went to herd buffaloes in the Trai Phuong hill garden, 500 meters from her house. At around 4:00 p.m., after the afternoon rain, not seeing her return from herding buffaloes, Mr. Van looked for Trang but could not find her, only a hat left on the dam bank - where Trang often went to wash her feet after herding buffaloes. Thinking that his daughter was somewhere, he returned. At around 5:00 p.m., he returned to look for her a second time, still seeing the hat left in the same place, thinking something was wrong, he jumped into the pond to search, and rescued his daughter, but Trang had drowned.

It is known that Trang is a good student, good at studying, and is the oldest of two younger siblings.
