(Baonghean.vn) - Taking advantage of the sunny weather, these days, people in Dien Hoa commune (Dien Chau district) are urgently going to the fields to harvest the summer-autumn rice crop.
By this time, Dien Hoa has harvested nearly half of its summer-autumn rice crop. Many families have mobilized almost all of their workforce to work in the fields.
Here are some images of the summer-autumn rice harvest in Dien Hoa commune on August 28th:

| The rice fields are shimmering under the August sun. This year, the people of Dien Hoa mainly planted glutinous rice varieties such as 97, Thien Uu 8, and BC 15. |
| This is the glutinous rice field of variety 97 belonging to Ms. Thai Thi Van's family (Hamlet 7). To ensure timely harvesting, Ms. Van mobilized her entire family to work in the field. |
| Ms. Thai Thi Van (Hamlet 7) said: this season her family has 3 sao (approximately 0.3 hectares) of land, with an estimated yield of 3 quintals per sao. Besides rice, she also grows 1 sao of glutinous rice variety 97 - a high-yielding, sticky, fragrant, and delicious variety that is very suitable for the current market. |
| Nguyen Thi Diep (Vinh Medical University) - the eldest daughter of Ms. Van - took advantage of her day off to come home and help her mother harvest rice. |
| Ms. Nguyen Thi Tan (Hamlet 6) is delighted because this year, thanks to the prolonged sunshine, her family was able to harvest their rice on time. Currently, half of her 4 sao (approximately 0.4 hectares) of rice has been harvested. |
| In recent years, to meet the needs of local farmers, Dien Hoa has established three teams specializing in threshing rice for hire. It is known that each plot of rice, after being thoroughly threshed, is valued at 60,000 VND. |
| Mr. Nguyen Van Giang said: "Every harvest season, my brother and I push our threshing machine around the village, from early morning until late at night, serving the needs of the people. Each season, we earn enough to pay for our children's school fees and cover some other expenses." |
| Straw is drying in the street, while inside the house and in the yard, everything is a golden color from the rice. |
| Haystacks like these are indispensable in every farmer's home. |
