(Baonghean.vn) - July, the month of honoring heroic martyrs, the sun is no longer scorching but has become gentler. In Hung Nguyen, traveling along the 12/9 road – a historical road marking the protest of thousands of Hung Nguyen people marching to Hung Nguyen district to present their demands to the district chief: abolishing corvée labor, reducing taxes, and demanding land for farmers.
For more than two-thirds of a century since the indomitable revolutionary spirit of the Nghe Tinh Soviet Uprising of 1930-1931, the farmers of Hung Nguyen and other localities along the historic Highway 12-9 have confidently walked the "bright path," contributing to the renewal and integration of their homeland and country today.
Most gratifyingly, along this historical route, amidst the economic development and transformation brought about by the New Rural Development program, historical relics associated with each period of the revolution remain intact, especially the complex of relics dedicated to General Secretary Le Hong Phong. Therefore, every time we pass through here, we rejoice in the changes of the people but cannot forget to offer incense and pay respects to the heroic martyrs who fell for this Soviet land.
These are images captured by reporters from Nghe An Newspaper on the 12/9 road.

| Provincial Road 558 – the branch road of National Highway 46 leading from Hung Nguyen town to the communes of Hung Tan, Hung Thong, Hung Xa… – has now been widened and paved smoothly, becoming one of the most beautiful provincial roads in the province. It has long been known as "Road 12-9" in the minds of the people of Hung Nguyen. |
| On both sides of the road stretched endless, lush green rice fields, heralding a bountiful harvest season. |
| Following the prosperous villages, the vibrant service and trade activities, fueled by the dynamism of the people, have shaped the urban landscape along this historical route. |
| Responding to the campaign "All people unite to build a cultured life in residential areas" associated with the New Rural Development movement, the people of Nam Village - Hung Tan contributed their labor and resources to rebuild the village gate with a total value of hundreds of millions of VND. |
| Phu Xa - Hung Xa market is always bustling with sellers and buyers. |
| Right next to Phu Xa market, the gate of Phu Xa village – it was here that Comrade Nguyen Thi Phia stood up and delivered a speech exposing the crimes of colonial imperialism, calling on farmers to rise up and protest to demand land for the tillers. Today, the village gate remains intact, though stained by time. |
| Along with the Phù Xá village gate relic, on this historic 12/9 road, in Hưng Thông, the old house of General Secretary Lê Hồng Phong remains intact. The relic is always meticulously cared for, resembling a Vietnamese village with many kinds of trees such as pomelo, betel nut, sapodilla, and star apple... flourishing and green. |
| And the pomelo trees in the garden are also laden with fruit. |
| Not far from there, the Le Hong Phong Memorial Area – one of the province's key projects – has been completed. It has become a cultural and spiritual tourism destination for people in the province and across the country. |
| Thanks to careful maintenance, the grounds of the historical site are lush and vibrant with various kinds of flowers. |
