Kia Cee'd 2016 - a Korean hatchback for Europe.
The compact hatchback adds three new engine options and features upgraded interior and exterior design for a more attractive look.
Kia has officially introduced the updated 2016 Cee'd with a host of new features.
The exterior changes are minimal, featuring new 16 and 17-inch alloy wheels, a wider and more angular front bumper. The fog lights have chrome surrounds, while the tiger-nose grille also uses chrome trim and has an oval-shaped rounded edge.

The rear of the car features a new rear bumper and diamond-shaped LED taillights; however, the placement of the daytime running lights is somewhat outdated. This could be a design detail that suits the tastes of European customers, a market with different preferences from the rest of the world.
Kia states that noise, vibration, and harshness inside the cabin are significantly reduced thanks to sound-dampening materials, while the diesel versions also utilize sound-absorbing materials in the engine, crankcase, and oil filter. The cabin is further enhanced with chrome accents on the instrument cluster and air vents.
More importantly, the Cee'd engine lineup will feature three new variants. First is a 1-liter, 3-cylinder ecoTurbo producing either 99 hp or 118 hp, both delivering a peak torque of 172 Nm. The petrol options remain the 1.6-liter GDI with 126 hp and the 1.4-liter MPI with 99 hp.
In terms of diesel engines, the 2016 Cee'd continues to use the CRDi type, producing 108 horsepower, while higher-powered versions offer 126 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque, and 134 horsepower and 285 Nm of torque. Kia has added a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission specifically for the top-of-the-line diesel version. Other versions use a 6-speed manual transmission, while the 1.6-liter GDI uses a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The top-of-the-line Cee'd GT features upgraded exterior and interior elements, including a flat-bottomed steering wheel and aluminum start/stop buttons. The hatchback also comes equipped with electronic audio controls that change the exhaust sound after switching to GT Mode, activated by a button on the steering wheel.
The car's engine is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 201 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque, with a new turbocharger increasing compressed air to boost engine response at low RPMs. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.
The 2016 Kia Cee'd will go on sale in Europe next month; this is also the small hatchback that the South Korean automaker is using exclusively for this market.
