The 4th Congress of Nghe An Folk Arts Association

(Baonghean.vn)- On July 13, 2015, in Vinh City, Nghe An Folk Arts Association held its 4th congress (term 2015-2020).

Attending the congress were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial People's Committee Office, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Folk Arts Association and members of the Nghe An Folk Arts Association.

During the past term, the Nghe An Folklore and Arts Association has successfully completed its tasks of collecting and researching Nghe An folk culture; coordinating with relevant sectors and agencies to compile works on folk culture and arts; at the same time, disseminating, teaching and introducing Nghe An folk culture, contributing to reviving values ​​in the consciousness and life of the people.

Just counting the collection and dissemination of folk culture and literature, up to now there have been 63 scientific research works, 18 of which have been published as books. In addition, there are dozens of articles published in central and local newspapers and magazines.

Mr. Le Tai Hoe - Chairman of Nghe An Folk Arts Association approved the Report of the Association's Executive Committee.

In the coming term, the Association will continue to promote achievements in the work of researching, collecting, and teaching folk culture according to the roadmap to exploit the quintessence of Nghe An culture. On that basis, deploy long-term, in-depth projects on aspects of intangible culture, especially the culture of ethnic minorities.

Comrade Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department spoke about strengthening the discovery and recruitment of members, especially young members.

The 4th Congress of Nghe An Folk Arts Association elected an Executive Committee of 5 comrades, in which comrade Tran Huu Duc was assigned the task of Chairman of the Association for the 2015-2020 term.
