On June 12, the Department of Investigation Police on Social Order Crimes of Nghe An Province Police (PC 45) announced that this agency has issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Le Thi Ngoan (33 years old, in Tinh Gia District, Thanh Hoa) for the act of Murder.

The victim in the murder case was Ms. Vi Thi Van (27 years old, in Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district, Nghe An).

Before that, at around 6am on June 1st, Ngoan went to Van's house to talk. After that, the two sides got into a fight and argued.

After that, the two got into a fight. Ngoan used a knife he had hidden on his person to slit Van's neck, causing the victim's death.

During the struggle, Ngoan fell to the riverbank about 5 meters from the victim's house and was then taken to the hospital by local people for emergency treatment.

Upon receiving the report, the police arrived at the scene to examine the scene, perform an autopsy and investigate the case.

Initially, Ngoan confessed that she was jealous of her husband and Van's affair and could not control herself, so she committed the murder. Le Thi Ngoan currently has three children, the oldest is 9 years old, the youngest is less than a year old. Ngoan's husband works as a construction worker at the Ban Ve hydroelectric project (Yen Na commune), and is often away from home.
