Tourism in Quynh Beach is flourishing.
(Baonghean) - 2015 marked a flourishing year for coastal tourism in Quynh Luu, with the appearance of a resort complex on Quynh Nghia beach, with a total investment of approximately 70 billion VND in phase 1. With its comprehensive investment, this resort has created a highlight, attracting a large number of visitors to the Quynh coastal area.
Quynh Luu District has 9 coastal communes, with convenient transportation links by rail, road, and waterway. The two river mouths, Lach Quen and Lach Thoi, facilitate cooperation and exchange in domestic and international economic, trade, and tourism activities. The rich and diverse tourism resources, combined with the coastal plain climate, are advantageous for tourism development. Quynh Luu's beaches are beautiful, flat, with clear blue water and suitable salinity, and offer a variety of fresh seafood such as shrimp, fish, squid, clams, mussels, crabs, and conch. Most beaches here retain their pristine, tranquil beauty. In recent years, as the living standards of the people have improved, the demand for relaxation and tourism has increased, and many tourists prefer destinations close to nature. Anticipating this trend, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuan, a native of Quynh Luu, boldly invested in building a resort on Quynh Nghia beach. Mr. Thuan shared: "I love the beautiful and clean beaches of my hometown, and this is what motivated me to invest in my hometown to help the district establish a large-scale tourist area, which will also serve as a stepping stone to mark the destination for tourists. I hope other investors will come to Quynh Beach to invest and create a tourist area that will attract visitors."
In early 2014, the resort officially commenced construction with a total area of 6.5 hectares. Phase 1 has only completed 1/4 of the project, including the restaurant area, the resort area, and 20 independent bungalow-style rooms. The project developer plans to continue constructing more resort villas and a 3,000m² conference center in the near future.2The resort includes sports fields, swimming pool areas, etc., with a total investment of nearly 200 billion VND. Officially opened for tourism in 2015, this resort has become an impressive highlight, attracting tourists from all over to admire and experience it. For the first time, Quynh Beach has a modern, professional resort built on a pristine beach with fine sand, clear blue water, and a year-round rustling pine forest. Right from the opening of the Quynh Beach tourist season, tens of thousands of tourists from within and outside the province flocked to Quynh Nghia beach, causing the resort to become overloaded. Many large groups from northern provinces contacted to book rooms, but the project owner had to refuse because they did not yet have the capacity to accommodate so many large groups. This year, the Quynh Nghia Resort alone welcomed 2,000 visitors per month. This is a positive sign that gives the investor confidence in the right direction of their investment.

Ms. Tran Thi Minh Trang, a kiosk owner at Quynh Nghia beach, shared that this year, the prolonged hot weather right from the beginning of summer has led to a higher number of visitors to Quynh Nghia beach than in previous years, especially with many groups from other provinces such as Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, and Ninh Binh… The number of tourists coming to Quynh Nghia beach is increasing because they not only enjoy swimming in the long, flat sandy beach with clear blue water but also savor a variety of fresh, high-quality, and affordable seafood, suitable for a diverse range of customers. At Minh Trang restaurant, the price of sea shrimp ranges from 300,000 to 330,000 VND/kg, grade 1 crab from 350,000 to 400,000 VND/kg, grouper from 430,000 to 500,000 VND/kg, mantis shrimp from 160,000 to 180,000 VND/kg, and squid from 250,000 to 300,000 VND/kg... The fresh and delicious seafood at reasonable prices has made Quynh Beach a trusted destination for many customers every year.
Mr. Ho Khac Huynh, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Quynh Nghia commune, said: To date, over 30 hectares of land in Quynh Nghia commune designated for tourism have been leased to investors, who are currently promoting the construction of guesthouses, hotels, food and beverage service areas, and entertainment facilities. This is a positive sign for the development of local tourism in the coming years, creating more jobs and increasing income for many workers in the commune. Coastal farmers are gradually learning and improving their skills in tourism business to meet the needs of tourists. During the 2015 summer tourist season, Quynh Nghia welcomed over 20,000 visitors from within and outside the province for beach holidays and relaxation. This represents a 30% increase compared to the 2014 tourist season.
Following the separation of Hoang Mai Town, Quynh Luu District has focused on developing coastal tourism in Quynh Nghia and Quynh Bang beaches. To promote tourism development, the district has concentrated on building infrastructure and transportation routes. Tourist routes such as the Van-Bang route (3.5 km) and the Tan-Bang route (15 km) have been completed and put into use; the Phuong-Bang route (6.5 km) is basically complete. Simultaneously, construction is underway on the following routes: Hau-Doi-Yen-Minh (9.5 km), Thach-Thanh-Luong (9 km), the Quynh Nghia coastal tourism road (4.3 km) within the Quynh beach tourism area, and the road from Provincial Road 537B (Quynh Nghia) to Tien Thuy (4 km)... In addition, the district also pays attention to the quality of human resources serving tourism. Many tourism businesses have actively created opportunities for their employees to receive professional training at specialized training institutions, attracting a workforce in this field that is constantly increasing in both quantity and quality year after year.

Currently, Quynh Luu has 19 accommodation establishments, including 2 hotels and 17 guesthouses with 262 rooms and 450 beds, over 30 restaurants, and 42 kiosks serving tourists who enjoy the beach. On average, the coastal tourist area welcomes about 90,000 beachgoers and vacationers annually, generating over 135 billion VND in revenue from tourism activities. In recent years, the number of tourists visiting Quynh Luu has increased significantly, averaging 10% per year; however, the number of overnight stays is still relatively low, mainly consisting of beachgoers, vacationers, and seafood lovers. In 2015 alone, Quynh Luu tourism welcomed approximately 130,000 visitors, of which 29,500 stayed overnight. Total tourism revenue in the district in 2015 was estimated at nearly 200 billion VND, of which revenue from beach tourism accounted for over 90%.
To further promote the tourism industry in the district in the coming years, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district is creating a favorable legal framework for investment and encouraging businesses from within and outside the district, as well as successful expatriates, to invest in the district. At the same time, it is developing attractive tax policies and land price schemes to attract investment capital and promote socio-economic development.
