Yen Thanh: Providing national defense and security knowledge training for target group 4.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 9th, the Yen Thanh District National Defense and Security Education Council held the opening ceremony for a training course on national defense and security knowledge for officials in category 4.

Over the course of three days, more than 300 participants, including civil servants, part-time officials, commune People's Council representatives, clan leaders, and principals and vice-principals of high schools in Vinh Thanh and Vien Thanh communes, received instruction on six topics, including:

Countering the strategy of "peaceful evolution" and subversive riots by hostile forces against the Vietnamese revolution; the Vietnamese people's war, defending the socialist Fatherland in the new situation; managing and protecting Vietnam's maritime sovereignty and national borders in the new era; the nationwide movement to protect national security; the basic contents of the national defense law, the national defense and security education law, the military service law, the militia and self-defense law, and the reserve mobilization ordinance; building and operating the militia and self-defense forces and the reserve mobilization ordinance at the village level, meeting the requirements of militia and self-defense work and reserve mobilization...

This helps grassroots officials further enhance their knowledge of military and national defense, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

According to the plan, from now until the end of September 2015, Yen Thanh district will continue to open 4 more training courses on national defense and security knowledge for target group 4 in 4 clusters, with more than 1,100 trainees from communes, towns and high schools in the area participating.
