Japan: Detecting cancer in 3 minutes
A group of Japanese scientists have successfully developed a technology that can diagnose the early stages of cancer.
A team of scientists in Japan has developed an advanced time-saving technology that allows early stage cancer diagnosis using just a drop of blood and 3 minutes to perform.
"These technological experiments allow to announce the presence of a malignant tumor using just a drop of blood and after 3 minutes can accurately indicate the current state of the body that may have stomach, colon and pancreatic cancer in the early stages.
Accordingly, Mytech implemented new technologies in cooperation with experts from Kototoyosu Hospital at Showa University in Tokyo. The patient's blood is placed on a special metal plate, which is then exposed to ultraviolet light.
If a patient has cancer, the blood will glow when treated with radiation. While the blood of a normal person will not glow.

"This is a completely new world achievement. The method is simple and it can be used in hospitals," Katsuyuki Hasegawa, a researcher at Mytech company, told RIA Novosti news agency.
According to researchers, there is still a need to further develop database and image systems corresponding to different types of cancer.
Scientists hope that will open a new era for people fighting the disease by using the body's immune system to attack cancer cells.
