Nghia Hieu Commune (Nghia Dan) achieved 19/19 New Rural criteria

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of July 10, the Appraisal Council of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee worked at Nghia Hieu commune to appraise the results of building new rural areas in the area. Comrade Vi Luu Binh - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief of Office of the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Board chaired the meeting. CAttending were members of the Provincial New Rural Appraisal Council and the New Rural Steering Committee of Nghia Dan district.

Check and assess medical criteria at commune health stations

Nghia Hieu Commune, Nghia Dan District is 20 km west of the district center. Although the terrain of the hamlets (the commune has 8 hamlets) is separated, the farthest hamlet from the commune center is 6 km; the starting point is 7/19 criteria, but with the attention of the state, the commune has achieved well the socio-economic goals. The annual growth rate is over 9%, the average income per capita is over 22 million VND/year; the poverty rate is only 2.06%.

Overview of the working session

Thanks to knowing how to mobilize and combine capital from many sources, Nghia Hieu commune mobilized a total of more than 96 billion VND, of which people contributed more than 57 billion VND to build new rural areas. Up to now, through self-inspection and assessment by the district, the commune has met 19/19 criteria and proposed to the superiors for inspection and recognition.

Speaking at the appraisal session, representatives of Nghia Dan District People's Committee and specialized departments highlighted the efforts and outstanding results of the commune; at the same time, they reported and explained some of the commune's remaining criteria, the causes and the roadmap for completion. On the side of the provincial NTM appraisal council, members spoke to question and request the commune to clarify the roadmap and commit to implementing some criteria such as criterion No. 17 on the environment, especially waste collection and treatment according to regulations, criteria on basic education but need to invest more in facilities, functional rooms, etc.

Based on the commune's commitment roadmap, with the support and facilitation of the district, the Provincial Appraisal Council unanimously recognized Nghia Hieu commune as meeting the NTM standards, and at the same time requested the commune to promptly absorb and overcome the criteria that the departments and branches are concerned about and the commune is implementing in practice to report before the Appraisal Council submits to the Provincial People's Committee for a decision on recognition.

Concluding the working session, Mr. Vi Luu Binh - Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development acknowledged and commended the efforts of Nghia Hieu commune in building school facilities, medical stations and especially the rural traffic system. Besides the above advantages, through the examination, some criteria of Nghia Hieu commune have not achieved high levels such as facilities, environment still has unsustainable factors, building a more accurate environmental project...
