Nghe An Border Guard: Free medical examination and medicine for people in Nam Tay village (Laos).

(Baonghean.vn) - In order to concretize the twinning program between the two villages on both sides of the Vietnam - Laos border, the Nghe An Border Guard Command sent a medical team to directly examine and provide free medicine to the people of Nam Tay village, Vieng Phan village cluster, Sam To district, Hua Phan province (Laos).

Nam Tay is a village located close to the Vietnam - Laos border, 3km from Thong Thu border gate, the roads are still difficult to travel, the whole village has more than 900 households, with 100% of Mong people living, the life and activities of the people are still lacking, the people here have not had access to medical services.

In order to help people have conditions to check their health and get treatment, the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province sent a medical force of 8 doctors and nurses to directly examine and provide free medicine to the people of Nam Tay village.

Here, the delegation directly examined, distributed free medicine and consulted 300 people of Nam Tay village on disease prevention and treatment, with a total medicine cost of nearly 20 million VND.

Nam Tay village chief, Mr. Xay Va Tho said: "This is the first time Nam Tay villagers have been given free medical examination and treatment and medicine. We thank the Vietnam Border Guard very much."
