(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 23, Mr. Tran Van Tien, Secretary of Dien Hai commune, Dien Chau district (Nghe An province), said that a person had died in the area while traveling on a raft at sea.

Accordingly, at around 2 PM on June 22nd, fishermen from Dien Thanh commune, Dien Chau district, recovered the body of a man caught in a fishing net. The victim was then brought ashore by a local fishing boat.

The victim was quickly identified by the Dien Thanh commune authorities as Nguyen Van Hien (40 years old), residing in Hamlet 4, Dien Hai commune, Dien Chau district.

It is known that Mr. Hien's family is extremely poor and has been a poor household in the commune for many years. Every day he still goes out to sea alone on his raft.

On the afternoon of June 23, local authorities and the family held a burial ceremony for the victim according to local customs.
