The Do Re Mi program was produced in 2007, starting from the idea of director Lai Bac Hai Dang. For many years, he has always been the director of this program. However, this year, Lai Bac Hai Dang will no longer take on this position and will be replaced by another director.

According to journalist Nguyen Tung Chi, director Lai Bac Hai Dang has transferred to work at the Vietnam Television Center in Hue (VTV Hue) so he will no longer participate as director of the Do Re Mi program.

However, the director will still appear on the show as a judge. Explaining this, journalist Tung Chi said that because director Lai Bac Hai Dang has been involved with the show since the beginning, has direct contact with the children, and understands their personalities, this position is completely suitable for him.

The Do Re Mi 2015 program consists of 12 programs, divided into 2 rounds. Round 1 with the participation of 12 contestants, divided into 3 teams: Do, Re and Mi. The competition of the teams this year will honor 3 musicians: musician Pham Tuyen, the late musician Han Ngoc Bich and the late musician Pham Trong Cau. At the end of round 1, only 6 children will continue to round 2. Round 2 includes 5 live TV programs with different themes and genres for the children to try their hand at such as: self-selected songs, folk songs, international songs...

The program features famous artists such as Xuan Bac, singer-songwriter Phuong Uyen, music lecturer Dang Chau Anh, and singer-songwriter Hoang Bach. The host, who chats with the contestants and guides the young audience, is MC Oc Thanh Van.

Do Re Mi 2015 was filmed at Tay Ho Sports Center (Hanoi) and officially aired at 9pm every Thursday, from June 18 to September 3 on VTV6. The child who wins the championship will receive a prize of 100 million VND and a trip to Korea.
