According to many people who witnessed the accident, at the time, a 4-seat car with license plate 37A - 044.98 (driver's identity unknown) was traveling from Hanoi to Vinh. When reaching the above road, a tractor driven by a resident of Dien Tho commune suddenly overtook it. Because the tractor was carrying bulky materials, it crashed into the 4-seat car. As a result, the tractor's steering wheel broke and flipped over in the middle of Highway 1A, the front of the 4-seat car was damaged.
