Provincial Party Secretary presents Mid-Autumn gifts to children of SOS Children's Village Vinh

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 25, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Provincial Party Secretary presented gifts to nearly 200 children being raised and studying at the SOS Children's Village (Vinh City).

Also attending were comrade Nguyen Bang Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and representatives of a number of agencies in the province.

SOS Children's Village Vinh was established on May 19, 1990, and officially put into operation in January 1992. Currently, the unit is directly caring for and raising 279 children and providing subsidies to 290 children in especially difficult circumstances, in order to create conditions for them to continue to study normally and prevent children from being abandoned.

The Provincial Party Secretary presented 10 million VND to the leadership of the children's village to organize a full moon festival for the children. While presenting gifts to the children, the Provincial Party Secretary asked about their learning and training process at the SOS Children's Village.

The Provincial Party Secretary hopes that the children will try harder and study hard to not let down the love and care of their mothers, teachers, and the leadership of SOS Children's Village Vinh, and will later become good citizens and make many useful contributions to society.

The Provincial Party Secretary also highly appreciated the responsibility and love of the leaders, the women and mothers of the SOS Children's Village who are directly caring for, raising and teaching nearly 200 orphans and homeless children here. He believes that with the care and love of the SOS Children's Village leaders, the children will be able to have a better life.With the care and dedicated education of the children, they will develop comprehensively and mature.
