(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 27th, in Nghia Dan district, Thang Nam Forestry Joint Stock Company held a conference to implement the procurement of raw materials and the development of raw material areas.

Attending the conference were Comrade Hoang Viet Duong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ho Ngoc Sy, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; representatives of the leaders of the districts, forestry companies, and the Youth Volunteer Brigades - Economic Development units in the raw material planning area serving the factory.

Prior to the conference, delegates were introduced to the company's processes and technologies by the management board and given a tour of the entire factory. Accordingly, the MDF wood and fiberboard processing plant project of May Forestry Joint Stock Company is built on an area of ​​40 hectares.

German experts introduced the technology and operation of the production line.

With investment advice from Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, the Nghe An Wood Processing Plant project is being built within the framework of the "wood processing plant and sustainable forest development in Nghe An" project with a total investment of 300 million USD (excluding investment for sustainable raw material development areas) divided into two phases.

Phase I, with a total investment of over $100 million, includes two production lines: a timber processing line with a capacity of 12,000 m³.³/year, expected to officially commence operations in early August 2015; MDF fiberboard processing line with a capacity of 130,000 m².³Phase 1 is expected to become operational by the end of 2015. Phase 2 will increase the total capacity of the lumber mill to 40,000 m³.³/year and MDF wood factory: 400,000 m²³/year .

The products manufactured by the factory will meet international quality standards and be competitive in demanding markets such as the US, Japan, and the EU, thanks to the investor's selection of the best technology and equipment suppliers in the world.

These include continuous forming and compression equipment from Dieffenbacher (Germany), a world-leading supplier of plywood equipment; wood fiberboard production technology from Metso (Sweden); chipping, cleaning, and chipping storage technology from Hombak/CMC (Germany); product sanding technology from Steinemann (Germany); and final product cutting technology from Anthon (Germany).

At the conference, on behalf of the company's leadership, Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh, the General Director, also provided further information on the plan to develop the raw material area.

Currently, Thang Nam Forestry Joint Stock Company has participated in the establishment of two raw material development joint stock companies: Dong Bac Raw Material Development Joint Stock Company and Phu Quy Raw Material Development Joint Stock Company. Their nhiệm vụ is to organize joint ventures and partnerships with units and individual households currently planting forests to supply the factory, ensuring scientific and efficient exploitation of planted forest areas, increasing crop productivity, bringing higher revenue per unit area, and contributing to raising the income of local people involved in forest planting.

Comrade Le Hong Son, Chairman of the Nghia Dan District People's Committee, on behalf of the leaders of the raw material area, pledged to ensure the supply of raw materials for the factory.

At the same time, the company also built a seedling and tissue culture center to provide high-yield seedlings, technical support, fertilizers, and a transparent payment mechanism for raw materials. The company's leaders requested that local leaders and forestry units in the raw material area provide close cooperation to develop the raw material area well and ensure sufficient raw materials for the capacity of each production line of the factory.
