Awarding the Certificate of Merit to Border Martyr Bui Cong Ha

(Baonghean.vn)- On July 1, the People's Committee of Tuong Son commune, Anh Son district held a memorial service and awarded a certificate of national merit to Martyr Bui Cong Ha, who heroically sacrificed his life while on duty.

Martyr Lieutenant Bui Cong Ha (born in 1988, hometown in Tuong Son commune, Anh Son district), is the Captain of the Drug Crime Prevention Team, Muong Tip Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard. In 2008, comrade Ha took the entrance exam to the Border Guard Academy and was admitted as valedictorian. During his time at the Border Guard Academy, comrade Ha was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Academy twice for his outstanding achievements in studying and training.

After leaving school, with the enthusiasm of youth, he volunteered to work at Muong Tip Border Post - the Border Post stationed in the most difficult and arduous area in the western border area of ​​Nghe An province with the wish to contribute his efforts with his comrades to firmly protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of border security, social order and safety in the border area, and protect his homeland.

Martyr Bui Cong Ha's family received the certificate of national recognition.

During his time working at Muong Tip Border Guard Station, comrade Bui Cong Ha has clearly defined his role and responsibilities, and excellently completed all assigned tasks. He is energetic, enthusiastic, has a high sense of responsibility in his work, is close to the locality and the base, has a firm grasp of all the happenings in the locality and the activities of all types of subjects related to drug crimes and other crimes. He actively advised the Station Command to propose effective plans to combat all types of crimes. In particular, he successfully participated in fighting 2 special projects, arrested 3 subjects (including 1 foreign subject), and successfully rescued 2 victims of a human trafficking crime ring.

Besides, comrade Ha is also an elite military athlete of the Vietnam Border Guard, of the Nghe An Border Guard and of the unit. At the Military Sports Festival of the Nghe An Border Guard in 2013, comrade Ha won the individual Gold Medal in the 4 combined military events for officers. After that, participating in the Sports Festival of the Nghe An Border Guard competing in the Sports Festival of the entire Border Guard, comrade Ha won the individual Silver Medal, making an important contribution to helping the Nghe An Border Guard Delegation achieve the second place overall.

At 11:16 a.m. on October 23, 2013, at Muong Tip border station, Lieutenant Bui Cong Ha heroically sacrificed his life while on duty.
