Female suspect in Bangkok bombing contacts authorities

On September 1, spokesman for the National Council for Peace and Order of Thailand, Mr. Winthai Suwaree, said that the female suspect in the recent bombing in Bangkok has contacted the authorities of this country to provide a statement.

Responding to a press conference, Mr. Winthai Suwaree said that Wanna Suansan, a wanted Thai female citizen, is currently living in another country and has contacted Thai authorities.

So far, Thai courts have issued arrest warrants for four suspects, including a man in a yellow shirt suspected of being involved in the August 17 Erawan Shrine explosion and a man in a blue shirt possibly involved in the Sathorn Pier bombing on August 18.

The Erawan Shrine bombing killed at least 20 people and injured more than 120, while the explosion at Sathorn Pier caused no casualties./.
