Wake up with new energy on today's journey

(Baonghean) - On the bright sunny autumn morning of September 11, at the Provincial Labor Culture House, an emotional and proud atmosphere was held during the solemn rally to recall the heroic spirit of the workers, farmers and soldiers who first rose up to fight in the Soviet movement 85 years ago. But before that, the spirit of the important holiday of Nghe An homeland was bustling on every street, street, village, from remote hamlets to the island border... Everything was shimmering in the bright colors of flags, banners and slogans to remember, show gratitude and express the new determination to strive to build the province to rise up worthy of the heroic patriotic and revolutionary traditions of our ancestors...

And today, the pride continues to be multiplied in the ceremony when senior leaders of the Party and State: Le Hong Anh, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Central Party Executive Committee; Nguyen Minh Triet, former Politburo member, former President and many delegations from the Central Government, provinces, districts and sectors attended this important event.

The performance recreates the Soviet spirit.

From Phong village, Thach Giam commune (Tuong Duong), Ms. La Thi Phuong (Chief of the Elderly Association of Phong village) was honored to be one of the representatives of the Thai ethnic group who went down to Vinh to honor the anniversary organized by the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of the province. Talking with the heroic Vietnamese Mothers and the representatives from the lowlands who came to attend the ceremony, Ms. Phuong said that she was still filled with excitement and emotion as the car sped along the roads where 85 years ago our people rose up in unison to fight. She confided: "Yesterday, on the way down to Vinh to honor the anniversary, I was able to visit my hometown and burn incense to commemorate the Soviet martyrs at Thai Lao Cemetery. Today, attending the ceremony and living in this proud atmosphere, I cannot express my excitement enough...".

Present from early morning in the delegation of workers attending the ceremony, Ms. Doan Thu Ha - a worker of Nghe An Urban Environment Company Limited was moved when these days the newspapers always highlighted the tradition of the working class. Ms. Ha said that the Company is strongly improving working conditions, applying many modern means, the life and activities of workers who are responsible for cleaning the environment have been improved a lot. Joining in the joyful atmosphere of attending the ceremony, Ms. Ha was extremely proud of the tradition of the working class and felt that she had to make more efforts to be worthy of the tradition of the workers of Vinh - Truong Thi - Ben Thuy in the past.

At exactly 9 o'clock, the epic art program "Soviet Flame" performed by the collective of actors from the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe An Folk Heritage recreated the images of the country's misery under the oppressive rule of the colonial and feudal government. Sitting under the veteran delegates, Mr. Le Huu Tan (Vinh City Veterans Association) was moved to tears when he saw the artistic image of tens of thousands of protesters being bombed and shot by French planes. The old veteran's hand clenched in resentment, and tears glistened in the corners of his eyes. September 12, 1930 was the day the French killed 217 people and injured hundreds of the best sons of this land. The drops of blood of those who pioneered to receive the first flag raised by the Party in that dark night of slavery, have turned into the Soviet flame, into the symbol of the "earth-shaking" uprising, illuminating the Vietnamese revolution and continuing to become the strength for Nghe An to change dramatically in today's integration period. More than anyone else, veterans like Uncle Tan, who have experienced the years of war and bullets, deeply understand that historical lesson...

Generations of cadres and veterans attended the ceremony.

On behalf of the provincial Party Committee and people, reading a speech reviewing the heroic history, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Duc Phoc emphasized that over time, the Nghe Tinh Soviet has increasingly affirmed the great stature and important nature of the pioneering event: “The Nghe Tinh Soviet is the pinnacle of the revolutionary movement of 1930 - 1931, the earth-shaking class struggle of the workers and peasants; the first national democratic revolutionary movement in our country under the leadership of the Party; an immortal epic in the first chapter of the “golden history” of the Communist Party of Vietnam; one of the most typical pages of the heroic spirit of Vietnam”. The speech of the Provincial Party Committee Secretary also conveyed to the delegates, cadres, party members and the people the urging to join hands to build the homeland to become increasingly prosperous and strong in all aspects. The atmosphere of the ceremony was filled with determination, turning legitimate pride into responsibility for the homeland and country; so that every cadre, party member, and citizen will strive to join hands in building Nghe An as Comrade Le Hong Anh believed and wished in his speech at the ceremony: "I believe that the Party Committee and people of Nghe An will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, strive, grasp opportunities, overcome all difficulties and challenges to bring Nghe An to become a fairly comprehensive province"...

The atmosphere of the ceremony was calm and permeated with the promise to strive with all one's might, to devote one's blood to the homeland, to be worthy of being the loyal successors of the revolutionary cause of the Party, of the great President Ho Chi Minh, of the heroic Soviet homeland of student Phan Thi Quynh Trang, an outstanding member from Vinh University.

The old poem "The Soviet drums of Nghe An resounded/ The North, Central and South poured down to fight" (To Huu) seems to still resonate and urge even louder today. The commemoration ceremony ended in a lively atmosphere and strongly stirred the spirit of uprising and indomitability, adding spiritual motivation and the promise of each person about awareness, responsibility, seizing new opportunities, new fortunes to work together to create a comprehensive renewal of the homeland on the road ahead.
