(Baonghean.vn) - The actress of "Ugly Girl" has reached out to victims of human trafficking as a goodwill ambassador of JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency).

Actress Lan Phuong has just returned from a business trip to An Giang as a goodwill ambassador for JICA. This is the latest social activity role this year for the actress who holds two university degrees.

The trip gave the actress the opportunity to meet and talk with some victims of human trafficking. When listening to their stories, I understood that the lives of the victims are very difficult, they have to endure misfortunes and threats both mentally and physically. For me, this trip was a very valuable experience...", she said.

She actively participates in propaganda sessions to help An Giang people become more aware of human trafficking, in a place with 5 districts bordering Cambodia, which is also the location of the Project Office "Establishing a hotline to prevent human trafficking in Vietnam" implemented by JICA.
