3 days to catch more than 1 ton of illegal animal organs

(Baonghean.vn)- On the morning of October 17, Dien Chau District Traffic Police Station arrested a case of illegally transporting 400kg of animal organs.

400kg of internal organs were handed over to the Veterinary Department for processing according to regulations.

Upon checking the passenger car with license plate 76B-006.98 running from North to South, driven by driver Cao Tan Huy, the task force discovered that the car was carrying 5 styrofoam boxes containing 400kg of smelly beef viscera. The driver could not produce documents proving the origin of the goods and claimed to be transporting them for hire for a customer from Hanoi to Quang Nam.

The working group handed over all the above organs to Dien Chau Veterinary Station for disposal according to the provisions of the law.

Over the past 3 days, authorities in Dien Chau district have seized more than 1 ton of animal organs believed to have originated from China.
