The overpass on National Highway 48 helps reduce traffic congestion.

(Baonghean.vn) - After more than a year of construction, the railway overpass project connecting National Highway (NH) 48 and NH 1 has been basically completed, thereby contributing to reducing traffic congestion and accidents at the intersection of the two national highways and the North-South railway.

The railway overpass on National Highway 48 and the connecting road have been largely completed.

The affected households have handed over the land for the project.

The project is a joint venture between the Construction Corporation No. 4 and the 319 Corporation of the Ministry of National Defense, invested under the BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model. The project has a total length of nearly 4 km for the main route and overpasses; the starting point (Km0+00) intersects with National Highway 48 at Km0+610. The end point (Km1+243.25) intersects with National Highway 1 at Km412+168, located in Dien Yen commune, Dien Chau district (total investment of the project is over 348 billion VND).

To ensure progress, relevant levels and sectors, along with Dien Chau district, focused on land clearance for 94 affected households, including 39 households whose land was used for agricultural production. Thanks to the handover of the land, the construction unit accelerated the progress.

Currently, vehicles are using the overpass.

Currently, the overpass project has been largely completed, contributing to reducing traffic congestion and accidents at the intersection of the two national highways and the North-South railway. At the same time, it facilitates trade and socio-economic development in the Northwest region of Nghe An province.
